Location
Copper Mountain Mine is located near the town of Princeton, British Columbia at the center of the scenic Similkameen Valley. Princeton is a community-oriented town with a diverse offering of activities, especially for those who love the outdoors. Princeton is also in close proximity to both the city of Vancouver and the Okanagan.
Summary
Reporting to the Mill Maintenance Supervisor, the Red Seal Millwright will provide full oversight of preventative maintenance services and repairs, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and creation of services plans. Troubleshooting will take place in the field and the shop as required and as determined by the maintenance supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Performs mechanical preventative maintenance and repairs working within the Mill Maintenance team.
- Works safely to repair and maintain all milling equipment within the mill building, internal and external tailings system equipment, and pumping systems for underground water and freshwater supply.
Education & Experience
- Red Seal Millwright Certificate.
- At least 1 year of industrial experience, preferably in mining.
- Experience with SAG and Ball mills, conveyors, and gyratory crushers is an asset.
- Welding experience would be considered an asset.
Required Skills
- Self-starter and be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Possess a valid and current driver’s license.
- Must be clean-shaven.
- Requisite to possess a valid driver’s license.
- Required to meet pre-employment testing requirements.
