Job Description
As the Compliance Coordinator you will be accountable for assisting with all aspects of compliance activities and systems on site including:
- Coordinating all aspects of Emergency response procedures and systems on site, including Mines Rescue personnel.
- Statutorily appointed as Fire Officer, including maintaining firefighting standards including equipment, training and inspections
- Ensuring safe work practices are carried out in line with department targets will remain your priority as well as ensuring compliance with the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act and Regulations.
- Liaising with Statutory Officials including Undermanager’s to assist with business requirements.
Qualifications
In order to be considered for this position:
- In-depth knowledge of the Coal Mining Health and Safety Act and Regulations.
- You have experience in a similar role or in a statutory position within an underground mining operation and a track record identifying risks and implementing safe working practices
- A Queensland coal mining statutory qualification (Queensland 3rd class Deputy Certification or equivalent) is preferred but not essential, S1, S2, S3 and G2 or G3 and RIIERR201 – Conduct Fire Team Operations

- Monday to Friday staff roster (9-day fortnight available)
