We are looking for an
Instrumentation Electrician to provide troubleshooting repair and preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facilities for the optimum operating efficiency of the Wilmington Plant.

Reporting to the
Maintenance Supervisor and working in a collaborative community within a challenging and exciting environment you will be
- Performing basic troubleshooting in electrical control, distribution, and motor protection
- Installing and commission switchgear, control devices, transformers, electrical feeders, motors and process instrumentation
- Using test equipment to diagnose high, medium and low voltage electrical circuits
- Installing programmable logic controllers (PLC), distributed control systems (DCS), human machine interface (HMI) devices
- Repairing and calibrate pneumatic, mechanical, electrical and electronic instruments
What You’ll Bring
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- Qualified Instrumentation Electrician with experience in a first-class role.
- Strong knowledge of AC/DC electrical and electronic theory, Ohm's Law, and Kirchhoff’s Law.
- Proficient in power factor, voltage drop, and National Electric Code application.
- Familiarity with instrument operation in a loop and Variable Frequency Drives.
- Skilled in test and calibration equipment, personal computers, and medium to high voltage circuits.
- Ability to interpret and apply schematic drawings, wiring diagrams, and process flow drawings.
- Experience with GE Limit Amp Starters, GE/Siemens vacuum circuit breakers, and ABB Gas circuit breakers.

This role is based in the Port of Los Angeles in the city of Wilmington, California. This historical site is one of the oldest operations in the Port of LA, some employees are third generation workers at this operation.
