Wood is recruiting for a
Project Engineer to join its Projects – Process and Chemical team focusing on engineering, procurement and construction of complex plants in the Chemical, Petrochemical and Energy industries. The position will be based in Corsico (Milan) office, with the possibility to work from home up to two days per week.
The Role
You will assist the Senior Project Engineer in the coordination of the engineering team, and you will prepare multidisciplinary documents which require interaction with several technical disciplines. You will attend technical project reviews with Client, such as P&ID review, HAZOP, 3D model review, and ensure all Client’s comments will be captured in the design. You will also be assigned to construction site, to give technical assistance during the erection of the plant.

Responsibilities
The key objectives for this role are:
- Mechanize and update the P&IDs, from the first process issue up to the issue for construction and “as built”
- Prepare the Equipment List, the Line List, the Fluid List, the Tie-in List
- Coordinate with other project engineers in Wood Global Execution Center (India)
- Prepare Material Requisitions for filters, special items and other miscellaneous equipment, and coordinate with Vendors
- Prepare the Hazardous Area Classification and the Fire Hazardous Area
- Support the Senior Project Engineer or Engineering Manager in the technical coordination of the engineering disciplines
- Attend project review with Client

Expected
- Educated to degree level in mechanical, chemical or energy engineering
