KAMOA COPPER SA is looking for a Senior Superintendent II, Rock Engineering
The Kamoa Copper Mine is a joint venture between Ivanhoe Mines (39.6%), Zijin Mining Group (39.6%), Crystal River Global Limited (0.8%) and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (20%). It's a very large, near-surface, flat-lying, stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, at approximately 25 kilometres west of the town of Kolwezi and about 270 kilometres west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi.

You will have the following:
- Must have a post graduate degree in Rock Engineering/Mining/Geotechnical
- Must have a valid Rock Engineering Certificate.
- Must have at least 15 years of progressive experience in rock engineering within a mining environment.
- Experience in green fields mining environment is highly advantageous.
- Must have at least 10-years’ experience in a managerial or senior leadership role within the mining sector.
- Proficiency in business English is mandatory. Working knowledge of French will be considered highly advantageous..

Your Key Performance Activities will include but not limited to:
- Implement effective and efficient Rock Engineering structures, policies, plans and governance structures to enable Compliance Audits, Geotechnical Mapping and Safety Observations
- Manage and oversee Contractors and service providers
- Drive effective problem solving and continuous improvement
- Function as a Rock Engineering subject matter expert
- Provide relevant reports based on audits and analysis
- Manage relationships with stakeholders to enable optimisation of the business value chain
- Manage a division that builds people, values difference and creates an inclusive work environment
- Forecast, secure and manage the budget as per Delegation of Authority Matrix
- Manage transformation in terms of people, automation / digitisation and sustainability and provide timely and robust change management to underpin initiatives

- Manage Reporting and Governance and Quality assurance for area of responsibility
