KAMOA COPPER SA is looking for a Superintendent II, Mid-term Mine Planning
The Kamoa Copper Mine is a joint venture between Ivanhoe Mines (39.6%), Zijin Mining Group (39.6%), Crystal River Global Limited (0.8%) and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (20%). It's a very large, near-surface, flat-lying, stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, at approximately 25 kilometres west of the town of Kolwezi and about 270 kilometres west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi.

To create the Mid-term Mine Plans (3-18 months) by contributing to the KCSA extraction strategy and optimising the mid-term (3-18 months) mine planning systems and processes. The incumbent prioritises the development of strategic development and stopping extraction options including projects/capital expenditure for 3-18 months by aligning it with LOM plans in order to achieve KCSA strategic objectives
You will have the following:
- Must have a degree in Mining Engineering
- A master’s degree in Mine Planning and Optimization, will be an added advantage
- Must have at least 7 years’ proven experience as a Mine Planning Engineer
- Must have at least 7 years’ experience in short and medium planning
- Must have at least 5 years proven experience in using Deswik mine planning software
- Proficiency in business English is mandatory. Working knowledge of French will be considered highly advantageous.
