About the role:
Reporting to the Supervisor, Industrial Networks, the Senior Technical Analyst, LTE is responsible for supporting and implementing Private LTE Network Infrastructure that delivers and maintains leading edge network technologies that is transforming the way EVR (Elk Valley Resources) operates its large-scale mining and mineral processing operations. The LTE Senior Technical Analyst, Industrial Networks, is responsible for the support, implementation, and the maintenance of the company's Private LTE Network Infrastructure across the enterprise.
The Industrial Networks Team is responsible to maintain and improve business-critical wired and wireless network infrastructures that serves optimizing safety, productivity, and environment sustainability of EVR’s mining and mineral processing operations. This position is accountable for end-to-end delivery, and support of the Private LTE network infrastructure. The successful candidate will collaborate with innovative industrial and LTE network technologies to develop, deliver, and maintain these systems.

In this role you will:
- Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
- Effectively engage with people at all levels of the organization across all EVR operations and corporate offices
- Support Autonomous Haulage Systems deployment at EVR that runs on the newest wireless technologies such as Wi-Fi 6 and P-LTE
- Implement, support, and continuously improve leading edge industrial networks that optimize productivity, safety, and sustainability
- Closely collaborate with internal and external teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems
- Facilitate and support cyber-security improvements, incident response, and forensics
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or similar discipline
- Five or more years of experience delivering and supporting Private LTE network infrastructure to support operational technology systems in an industrial setting, preferably in mining
- Nokia Core Expertise (EPC/5GC): Deep knowledge of MME/AMF, SGW/UPF, HSS/UDM, PCRF/PCF, IMS, and associated interfaces (S1-MME, S6a, Gx, N2, N4)
- Nokia RAN (LTE/5G): Hands-on experience with Nokia eNodeB configuration, integration, parameter tuning, and radio performance optimization
- Network Integration & Troubleshooting & Monitoring: Skilled Wireshark, NetAct/MantaRay, NSP, log analysis and root-cause problem solving
- Device/UE Integration: Expertise in SIM provisioning, APN configuration, and interoperability testing with various UE categories
- Security & Reliability: Knowledge of LTE/5G authentication, encryption, network slicing concepts, redundancy, and high-availability configurations
- Private LTE Architecture: Understanding of deployment models, CBRS (if applicable), spectrum coordination, and end-to-end service design
- Skilled in running RF surveys, coverage predictions, and signal propagation for Private LTE and Wi-Fi
- Anticipates and responds to user and business needs with a service-oriented mindset
- Able to explain complex network behaviors in simple terms to non-technical audiences
- Works effectively with engineering, operations, vendors, and customer stakeholders
- Experience supporting mission critical systems operating in a 24x7 production environment
- Advanced analytical, root cause analysis and problem-solving skills
- Good knowledge of Cisco IOS, switches, routers, firewalls, wireless LAN controllers, wireless bridges
- Cisco and Fortinet certification is an asset
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent, with the ability to travel as necessary to support EVR’s mining operations across Canada
