Role Overview
As
Engineering Intern, you will work closely with the Senior Engineer and ground control team to support surveying, ventilation, and ground control activities. This internship offers valuable exposure to real-world mining operations and technical challenges. This is a 12-16 month placement, starting in May 2026.
Key Responsibilities
Surveying & Mapping: Assist in underground surveying and updating prints with production data.
Reporting & Analysis: Participate in month-end reporting and seismic monitoring data analysis.
Ground Control: Conduct underground inspections and assist in drafting secondary support prints.
Ventilation: Support mine ventilation surveys and maintain accurate ventilation plans.
Other Duties: Perform tasks related to ground control and other assigned responsibilities.
What You Bring To The Table
- Completion of at least 2 years in a Mining Engineering or Mine Technologist program.
- Previous underground experience and Common Core modules are assets.
- High energy, self-motivation, and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Deswik, Autocad, and Promine.
