Job Description
You will support the project management team regarding all quality-related issues and ensure the achievement of objectives in terms of quality, supplier & subcontractor performance, and customer satisfaction.
You will lead the implementation, assessment, and improvement of processes across the entire value chain to increase customer satisfaction and project profitability—all within a safe working environment.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Cooperating with the customer on Project Quality issues and ensuring ownership of actions to resolve them.
- Enabling and coaching project team members to evaluate risks, problems, and solutions from a quality and customer/stakeholder perspective.
- Analyzing transferability of experience between projects and planning Quality Assurance activities to reduce risk.
- Collaborating with the project team to develop schedules, estimates, forecasts, and quality budgets.
- Applying project quality procedures and ensuring compliance.
- Certifying that internal control systems are effective and aligned with customer and stakeholder requirements.
- Performing audits on project delivery and using Quality data analytics to identify risks, failures, and nonconformances.
- Ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented and closed.
Requirements
- Technical / engineering / quality management education – minimum bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years construction quality site experience or operations experience
- Experience in the power or energy industry
- Proven track record in Change Management within large and complex organizations
- Process management experience, ideally in project business or quality/process-oriented industries
- Continuous Improvement experience
- L6S Belt
- Strong communication skills, result-oriented, fast execution, open and attentive listener
- Test coordination experience
- ISO9001 knowledge
- Certified auditor
- Knowledge of construction codes / standards
- Fluency in English & German (written + spoken)
- Willingness to relocate to the project site
- Computer skills and knowledge of completion systems
Responsibilities
- Provide Quality Induction training to site personnel.
- Execute and monitor Quality Plans, master test plan, and completion system status.
- Review quality documentation for correctness and completeness.
- Communicate quality control plans (ITP, ITR, etc.) and erection documentation to site teams and contractors.
- Ensure Quality Control processes are fully implemented and monitored.
- Oversee inspection/testing during Civil, Mechanical & Electrical erection and Commissioning.
- Support acceptance testing and/or approval by customers, authorities, and third parties when required.
- Ensure completion system, NCR, deviation, CCRP and other quality tools are deployed and team members trained.
- Ensure testing/measurement equipment is calibrated and documented.
- Monitor completion system status, inspections, certifications, and punch list items.
- Provide site Quality KPIs as required.
- Support management of punch-out items.
- Provide Quality input for on-time, in-budget project execution.
- Support incoming goods inspection and deviation reporting.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of delivered materials.
- Ensure subcontractors comply with ITP/ITR requirements, including Hold and Witness points.
- Ensure quality documentation is generated, updated, distributed, and archived properly.
- Support deployment of Site Quality audit programs (internal & contractor).
- Participate in internal and contractor quality audits.
- Assist in external site-related audits.
- Monitor contractor compliance with Quality requirements and follow up corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to the site quality management system.
- Support CoQP reporting processes according to HVDC processes.
