Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the IT Supervisor, you will be part of the Information Technology Department. This role is specifically designed to develop the successful candidate into a certified IT professional, supporting a long-term career at Agnico Eagle. You will support operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvement while learning and growing in a dynamic mining environment.
- Assist with daily IT tasks, including troubleshooting and system maintenance.
- Support the implementation, monitoring and optimization of IT infrastructure and applications.
- Participate in IT projects, upgrades and process improvement initiatives.
- Support the preparation and review of budgets and forecasts.
- Support end-users with day to day hardware and application needs.
- Participate in safety initiatives and promote a culture of safety and responsibility.
- Contribute to environmental stewardship and compliance efforts.
- Engage in continuous improvement projects and support technology adoption.
- Learn to use IT management related software and tools.
- Take part in training and development opportunities to build your technical and leadership skills.
- Benefit from mentorship and guidance to progress towards professional IT certification.
What You Need To Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology a related field (graduated within the last 2 years or soon to graduate).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communicator and team player.
- Eager to learn, adapt, and contribute in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to safety, environmental responsibility, and Agnico Eagle’s values.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
Your Work Schedule
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday at our Timmins Regional Office or Kirkland Lake Office.
- You must be willing to work on a rotational schedule at a remote mine site.
