As
Geology Intern, you will support a multidisciplinary team of geologists and engineers in both underground and open pit mining operations. You’ll also participate in near-mine exploration activities, contributing to geological data collection, analysis, and reporting. This is a 12-16 month placement, starting in May 2026.
Key Responsibilities
Core Handling & Sampling: Assist with measuring, logging, photographing, and moving core boxes.
Mapping & Grade Control: Support mapping, chipping, sampling, and grade control activities.
Data Management: Digitize maps and sections, enter data into databases, and prepare daily reports.
Collaboration: Engage with Engineering, Geology, and Mine Operations teams.
Presentation & Reporting: Prepare and present findings to the Geology team.
Other Duties: Participate in health and safety programs and perform other tasks as required.
What You Bring To The Table
- At least one year completed in Geology, Earth Sciences, or Geological Engineering.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Valid Canadian driver’s license and comfort driving 4x4 trucks.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Willingness to work outdoors and in dynamic environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
