Job description:
The Wellness Coordinator plays a key leadership role within the Site Health team, coordinating the activities of the Wellness team and driving innovative wellness initiatives across both Kansanshi and Kalumbila. You will work collaboratively with the Fitness, Occupational Health and Health Promotion teams to execute a holistic wellness strategy that enhances physical and mental health across our workforce of over 10,000 employees.
This role involves leading a team of wellness officers and specialist consultants, creating impactful campaigns, and ensuring high-quality delivery of sensitization programs, wellness events, and engagement activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead & Coordinate
- Supervise the Wellness team and specialist consultants across mine sites.
- Drive monthly and quarterly wellness planning in collaboration with HR, health services, and wellness specialists.
Create High-Impact Engagement Campaigns
- Conceptualize and roll out wellness challenges, annual events, and multi-site campaigns (like interdepartmental competitions, World Health Day activities, etc.).
- Introduce fresh, engaging approaches to how wellness information is shared across the mines.
Champion Workforce Wellbeing
- Coordinate sensitization programmes on mental health, stress, fatigue, healthy eating, NCDs, and other corporate wellness themes.
- Deliver talks, webinars, and interactive sessions.
Design & Communicate
- Create compelling IEC materials (posters, infographics, videos, pamphlets) that make wellness accessible and relatable.
- Work with specialists to transform expert knowledge into practical, engaging content.
Report & Demonstrate Value
- Produce accurate, timely wellness statistics and dashboards that highlight engagement levels, impact, and return on investment.
- Ensure effective reporting systems and tracking tools are used across the Wellness Centre.
Manage Specialist Services
- Assist in coordinating consultant services including psychology, counselling, nutrition, and psychiatry when required.
Qualifications
- Degree in Social Sciences, Health/Allied Health Sciences, organisational psychology or a related field with wellness/life coaching certification
- Preferred but not required: project or operations management, Certificate in Coaching or Leadership Development, Training in Social Media Management or Digital Campaigns
- Additional training in organizational psychology, wellness programming, marketing, or public health is an added advantage.
Experience
- 2+ years in wellness coordination, corporate health, workplace wellbeing, or a related field.
- Experience with Canva or Diploma in Communications, Marketing, Digital Media is beneficial.
