Our Opportunity

Work Location: Various operational Pilbara sites

Roster: 8D/6R FIFO ex Perth

Fortescue is seeking a full-time RC Rig Geologist to join the Resource Definition team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build on their existing skill sets and expand their operational knowledge in a dynamic, hands-on environment. As part of the team, you will play a key role in analysing geological data and supporting resource definition efforts, contributing directly to exploration and development projects. Key Responsibilities

Provide leadership and be a role model for safety
Daily supervision of RC drill rig
High quality stratigraphy, downhole gamma, and texture logging of RC chips
Assay and geological data management, internal QAQC, data collection/validation
Ensuring high sample quality on the rigs
Rationalisation and progression of near mine exploration targets

Qualifications and Experience

Tertiary degree in Geoscience
Full C class, manual drivers licence
Operate and maintain a 4WD
Exposure to Arc GIS, Leapfrog, Vulcan
Provide First Aid
