Purpose
An exciting opportunity that has come up for a four-month secondment as Total Rewards Officer for Papua New Guinea (PNG). The secondment will commence early in 2026, and you will be an integral part of the Total Rewards team based in Port Moresby.
Reporting to the Total Rewards Director, this role presents a unique opportunity for professional growth and to gain in-depth knowledge and experience in the field of remuneration and benefits within the context of PNG. We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual who is eager to contribute to our team's success while expanding their own skills and expertise.
Essential Duties
- Administer high quality customer service and prompt service delivery with regards to all Australia Total Rewards
processes. - Process medical insurance applications including acting as main point of contact for employees and medical insurance
provider, attending to queries, invoice audits, reconciliation of medical payroll deductions. - Maintain strong relationships with benefits vendors.
- Administer the BU/region/site specific administration of the Newmont rewards & recognition programs in accordance with
global recognition program guidance. - Support EVP through preparation and distribution of marketing/promotion materials or other internal communications.
- Assist in the implementation and rollout of new benefits programs in the BU/region/site.
- Assist in market reviews and benchmarking to ensure competitive market position.
- Provide salary recommendation to ensure new employees are offered a market competitive package aligned to
- Newmont salary bands whilst taking into consideration peer parity.
- Maintain Total Rewards SharePoint page.
- Complete general administration tasks for the Total Rewards team
Training & Experience
- Proven experience within HR related administration or similar role.
- Demonstrated familiarity and competence with the administration of human resources function.
- Certificate or Degree in HR / business administration (highly regarded).
- Proven advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint skills.
- Proven ability to use external internet platforms. Excellent oral and written communication skills, and demonstrated
ability to provide a quality level of customer service. - To manage time and tasks effectively, be task orientated and able to set goals.
- Demonstrated high attention to detail.
- Good understanding and ability to apply and comply with Company Policy, Standards & Procedures.
