Responsibilities
Job Qualifications
- Maintain and improve the Environmental Management System (EMS) by supporting procedures, training, audits, and corrective actions, ensuring readiness for ISO 14001 or equivalent certification.
- Define exploration targets and design high-precision drill holes (DDH/RC) to optimize resource definition and project objectives.
- Oversee the accuracy of field data—including survey, deviation, and lithology—using advanced technology to verify logging and visual observations.
- Maintain the geological database and execute rigorous Quality Assurance/Quality Control protocols for all field data and laboratory assay results.
- Build and update 3D models for lithology, structure, alteration, and mineralization to ensure accurate subsurface representations.
- Validate 3D models and geological interpretations against actual DDH, RC, and Blast Hole (BH) data to ensure model reliability.
- Incorporate real-time grade control data and field observations into drilling and modelling workflows to refine local accuracy.
- Develop, document, and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for drilling and logging to meet industry regulatory standards.
- Recommend improvements for resource estimation, manage reconciliation exercises, and produce official technical drill reports for stakeholders.
Key Skills & Knowledge
Post-secondary degree in geology or other mining related fields.
Registration (or eligibility to register) as a Geologist (PGO) or Engineer in Geology (Peng) in Ontario.
A minimum of 7 years of geology experience in a mining or exploration environment.
Understanding of database management systems (aQuire) and QAQC principles.
Proficiency in Leapfrog.
Understanding of geostatistical and resource estimation methods.
Relevant Experience

About The Role
We are actively seeking a Senior Mine Exploration Geologist that provides Mine resource development through drilling and geology understanding. With In partnership with the Senior Resource Geologist, the Mine Exploration Geologist supports the Drilling needs to optimize the Resource block model.
Working closely with Geology team and technicians ensuring data collection is accurate. The incumbent coaches and trains other Geologists to ensure adequate and competent succession.
