Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Energy and Infrastructure General Supervisor, you will be part of the Energy and Infrastructure Department. You will supervise all energy, electrical surface & underground maintenance activities. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Supervise and coordinate the surface electrical/instrumentation activities;
- Supervise and coordinate the UG electrical maintenance & development activities;
- Implement and ensure application of working procedures among team members;
- Applies the methods and principles of the Supervision Formula;
- Organizes the weekly jobs to execute according to the weekly schedule;
- Ensure proper standard work practices are followed through the preventive and corrective maintenance activities;
- Coordinate, in collaboration with reliability engineers, electrical and planned shutdowns activities when necessary;
- Coordinate morning meetings and weekly safety meetings with your team;
- Analyses and organizes the training needs for immediate employees;
- With respect of Agnico Eagle’s internal management process, prepare daily work packages for all team members;
- Applies disciplinary measures to employees when required.
What You Need To Succeed
- Electrical journeyman license or license C or equivalent experience is required;
- 5+ years of experience underground supervision;
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role in remote mine conditions;
- Experience in remote site power plant management is considered an asset;
- Education in Electrical Engineering is considered an asset;
- Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
Note that the official working language at Meadowbank Complex is English.
Your Work Schedule
- Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest;
- Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
