Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Energy & Infrastructure Superintendent, you will be part of the Energy and Infrastructure Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the Environment.
- Assist and support the superintendent in the follow-up of all departmental activities under your responsibility (electrical (surface and underground), instrumentation, power plant, building maintenance, surface operations, camp, kitchen, housekeeping services, and MOC projects).
- Supporting the establishment of a facilitative work environment;
- Supporting the ongoing empowerment and development of the entire team;
- Promote the mission and vision of the department and the company;
- Ensure best practices and quality control management.
What You Need To Succeed
- Technical background in Electrical, Mechanical or relevant field;
- 5 years of experience as a General Supervisor/General Foreman position or 10 + years of experience managing a large team;
- Experience with budgets;
- Experience managing remote camp/kitchen activities is considered an asset;
- Experience supervising trade and/or operational teams in a mining environment;
- Previous training and coaching experience is considered an asset;
- Cultural awareness and understanding of work in the Canadian Arctic is considered an asset.
Note that the official working language at Meadowbank Complex is English.
Your Work Schedule
- Schedule: 10 days of work, followed by 10 days for transportation and rest;
- Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
