We are seeking a
Payroll and Accounts Officer to join our finance team at our Perth head office in West Perth. This is a great opportunity to step into a stable, well-supported role within a friendly, collaborative team and a modern, people-focused office environment.
The Role
Professionally, you will work closely with an experienced financial management team, where you will have exposure to a broad range of finance activities while maintaining ownership of payroll and accounts responsibilities. You will be a key team member providing support to our consulting teams and be guided by experienced colleagues who will mentor you in your growth.

This role is based out of our Perth office.
In a Typical Month You Could Expect To
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing using Employment Hero, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance
- Maintain and update employee payroll records as needed
- Review timesheets and payroll data to identify and resolve discrepancies prior to processing
- Process and lodge superannuation contributions and payroll tax accurately and on time
- Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation to support audits and reporting requirements
- Act as a key point of contact for payroll-related queries, liaising between the Finance team, People team, and Consulting teams
- Support accounts payable processing in collaboration with the Assistant Accountant
- Support accounts receivable activities in collaboration with the Financial Accountant
- Prepare month-end journals and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with month-end reporting and general finance tasks as required
We Expect You To Have
- Tertiary qualification in accounting
- Minimum three years’ experience in a combined payroll and accounting role
- Experience managing end-to-end payroll within a payroll system (Employment Hero highly regarded)
- Working knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, superannuation, and payroll tax
- Experience using ERP accounting systems
- Intermediate Excel skills with confidence using formulas and reconciliations
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly with payroll and financial data
- Ability to work independently, manage competing deadlines and handle confidential information professionally
- Strong organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills, you will be liaising with employees at all levels, including senior management.
- Fluency in English
- Current Australian Working rights (Citizen, Permanent Resident or a Temporary visa with 12+ months validity)
