Overview
Provide health and safety support to project teams to ensure work is planned and executed in compliance with AngloGold Ashanti (AGA) HSS standards and regulatory requirements. Reporting to the HSS Manager, this role supports risk management, incident prevention, and the consistent application of safety systems across project activities.
Key Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with MSHA and other applicable health and safety regulations.

Conduct inspections, audits, and risk assessments.

Support and improve site HSE systems, policies, and procedures.

Lead or support incident investigations and corrective action tracking.

Deliver safety training, including new miner, contractor, and emergency response training.

Promote safe work behaviors, stop-work authority, and strong safety leadership.

Provide technical safety advice to project and contractor teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.

2–3 years’ experience in mining or a high-risk industrial environment.

Knowledge of MSHA standards.

Strong communication and organizational skills.

First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain); MSHA Blue Card a plus.

Valid driver’s license required.
