Financial Accountant | 12 month fixed term | Eagle Farm based

The role
The
Financial Accountant is responsible for the monthly financial reporting, accounting and reconciliations relating to General Ledger, fixed assets, accounts receivable and any other accounts department functions as and when required for all Redpath Australia entities. In addition, the Financial Accountant provides assistance to the Financial Controller in regards to any compliance issues.
Responsibilities
- prepare monthly management reporting to Redpath Canada;
- maintain the fixed assets register;
- Fixed assets accounting and reconciliations;
- Reporting customer invoices and receivables;
- Update daily cash flow for bank transactions as well prepare the 6-month forecast for reporting purposes;
- Journal processing and General Ledger reconciliations for all Redpath entities.
- Preparation of audit files and reconciliations;
- Assisting with other Accounts Department functions eg; cash, reporting and compliance as required;
- Ensure compliance with Redpath’s Management Systems and the relevant Statutory Regulations;
Qualifications
- CA/CPA or equivalent.
- 3-5 years’ experience in similar role with knowledge of consolidated company accounting & reporting in large organisations including exposure to AASB 3, 15 and 16.
- Exposure to group management reporting would be preferable.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills to maintain and create new models.
- Experience with major ERP systems, preferably Oracle Fusion, Hyperion, Essbase and Pronto.
- High attention to detail to maintain high standard of accuracy and integrity in all reports.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Organized, pro-active and able to take initiative.
