About The Opportunity
We have an opportunity for a
Senior Specialist, Commercial Operations - Outbound Concentrates to join our Centerra Langeloth team. This position is open to candidates remotely within North America, with preference for candidates being based in close proximity to Langeloth, PA.
This role is responsible for the commercial execution and control of outbound molybdenum product sales, supporting domestic and international customers across finished and intermediate products.
The position ensures accurate, compliant, and timely execution of outbound sales contracts from annual sales planning through delivery, invoicing, and order-to-cash close. The role focuses on contract compliance, customer delivery commitments, documentation accuracy, revenue protection, and clear commercial execution control throughout the outbound lifecycle, working in close coordination with Commercial, Logistics, Finance, and Operations
.
Additionally, this role owns post-trade commercial execution, order acceptance, documentation approval, pricing validation, invoicing, and settlement for outbound sales.
Your Responsibilities Will Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Review and accept outbound sales orders in accordance with executed sales contracts and approved commercial terms.
- Translate contractual delivery commitments into shipment schedules from a commercial execution standpoint, aligned with production and inventory availability.
- Coordinate with Sales, Operations, and Logistics to ensure outbound delivery plans support customer commitments and operational constraints.
- Monitor execution versus plan and escalate material deviations impacting customer deliveries or revenue recognition.
- Execute outbound sales contracts post-trade in accordance with agreed commercial terms and frameworks.
- Serve as the primary commercial execution point of contact for outbound domestic and international customers.
- Provide clear commercial execution instructions to Logistics when required to ensure shipments align with contractual delivery and risk terms, with Logistics retaining full responsibility for physical execution.
- Identify and escalate non-standard execution scenarios or deviations from contract terms through defined escalation pathways.
- Apply contractual pricing mechanisms, quotational periods, and price fixation terms for outbound sales.
- Review and approve commercial documentation, including invoices, packing lists, certificates, and export documentation for commercial accuracy.
- Ensure invoices accurately reflect contract terms, shipped quantities, pricing, and delivery conditions.
- Maintain auditable records supporting pricing application and invoicing approvals.
- Confirm delivery completion and title transfer in accordance with Incoterms and contract terms.
- Coordinate with Finance to ensure accurate revenue recognition, settlement, and customer payment tracking.
- Support resolution of delivery, pricing, or invoicing disputes in coordination with Sales and Commercial Leadership.
- Ensure outbound shipments are closed in commercial systems following delivery and settlement.
- Manage customer-facing commercial execution issues related to delivery performance, documentation, pricing, or invoicing.
- Identify commercial risks, value leakage, or execution issues during outbound contract execution.
- Support dispute resolution and escalation related to delivery claims, pricing disputes, or payment issues.
- Support audit, compliance, and internal control requirements related to outbound commercial execution.
- Provide execution support and interim coverage for inbound commercial operations during periods of absence, peak workload, or transition, within established commercial frameworks and escalation pathways.
- Provide continuity support for toll processing commercial execution, including review of tolling instructions, coordination of material balance reconciliation with Operations and Finance, and escalation of non-standard terms or disputes through established approval pathways.
- Provide continuity support for consignment and warehousing-related commercial activities, including review of logistics-prepared documentation (such as warehouse release and dispatch records) to support delivery confirmation and commercial close.
- Participate in cross-training and knowledge transfer across Commercial Operations roles to support resilience, continuity, and succession planning.
About You
The following will be critical to successfully performing this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, supply chain, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial operations, sales support, or outbound execution within industrial, mining, metallurgical, or commodities environments.
- Strong understanding of sales contracts, Incoterms, pricing mechanisms, and invoicing processes.
- Experience managing domestic and international customer deliveries and export documentation.
- Experience using ERP and/or trading systems (e.g., SAP, CTRM) for order, shipment, and invoicing management.
- Strong attention to detail with a control-oriented and customer-focused mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple customer orders and delivery timelines in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Strong communication skills for coordination with internal teams and external customers.
- Experience supporting industrial processing, metals, or commodities sales is considered an asset.
