About Island Gold District: Alamos Gold’s Island Gold District will become one of the largest and lowest-cost gold mines in Canada. Purpose
Responsible for managing clerical and administrative tasks within the office, including scheduling appointments, maintaining records, handling correspondence, and performing basic bookkeeping functions.

Key Responsibilities
Records Management
- Maintain accurate records of materials filed or removed using logbooks or computer systems.
- Create new records and update existing ones as required.
- Track borrowed files to ensure timely return.
- Gather and organize materials for filing from various departments.
- Sort and classify information based on established guidelines (e.g., content, purpose, chronological, alphabetical, or numerical order).
- Retrieve information upon request from authorized personnel.
- Inspect files periodically to ensure proper placement, legibility, and condition.
- Remove outdated or unnecessary materials in accordance with file maintenance guidelines and legal requirements.
Office Administration
- Perform general office duties, including typing, operating office equipment, and sorting mail.
- Answer inquiries regarding records and filing systems.
- Modify or implement filing systems to improve efficiency.
- Scan and review incoming materials to determine appropriate classification and storage.
- Store materials in designated locations such as cabinets, boxes, or drawers.
Compliance and Documentation
- Review work procedures weekly during safety huddles.
- Enter document identification codes into systems to locate and retrieve documents.
Qualifications/Skills
- Minimum of 2–4 years of administrative or clerical experience.
- High school diploma required.
- Training or coursework in computer applications (word processing, spreadsheets) preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines without errors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Maintain composure under pressure.
This is a site based role at Alamos Gold, Island Gold District. The job is offered on a 4 day on 3 day off rotation with travel allowance and accommodation provided
