About the role
As our People & Culture Support Officer, you’ll keep our core people processes running smoothly across the site. Working closely with the P&C team, line leaders, and operational crews, you will provide high‑quality administrative support with a strong focus on onboarding, housing coordination, master data accuracy, policy and compliance, and positive employee experience.
This is a hands‑on, residential site‑based role where you’ll be visible, approachable, and part of the operational rhythm. Your work will help new starters feel welcomed, ensure our data and processes stay compliant, and support the P&C team to deliver efficient, timely, people‑focused services.
Key areas you’ll support include:
- Coordinating onboarding and induction requirements, ensuring new starters are set up for success
- Managing and maintaining accurate P&C master data and documentation, with regular quality checks
- Assisting with policy, compliance, and cyclical P&C tasks across the operation
- Helping to coordinate and administer housing and accommodation processes
- Providing timely support to leaders and employees through efficient service delivery and problem‑solving
- Assisting with P&C reporting, audits, and general administrative duties across the function
- Supporting P&C projects, improvements, and system/process enhancements as needed
This part time role for a Kalgoorlie resident (34.5 hours per week across four days) offers variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to positively influence the employee experience across a large mining operation.
About you
You’re a proactive, organised administrator who enjoys helping people and keeping processes running smoothly. You bring a friendly, team first approach and are comfortable navigating a busy environment with changing priorities.
You will thrive in this role if you are:
- Experienced in administration preferably as HR Admin or HR Officer (mining experience helpful but not essential)
- Detail‑focused and organised, with strong administrative capability and excellent time management
- A clear communicator who builds good relationships across site and supports employees with a helpful, solutions focused attitude
- Confident working on site, wearing PPE, and being visible and accessible to operational teams
- Comfortable using HRIS, Microsoft Office, and maintaining accurate data and documentation (experience with SuccessFactors or similar is beneficial)
- Adaptable, curious, and willing to step in and help with unexpected tasks
- Motivated to improve processes and enhance the overall employee experience through thoughtful service delivery
- Have a valid C Class manual driver’s licence (mandatory requirement)
