Job Description
Wood Chennai Office is hiring the candidate for the Quality Assurance activities associated with Workshare, Portfolio & Domestic Projects which are long term and require dedicated QA resources at Chennai Office.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for implementation of Quality Management System requirements as directed by the Manager-QA, or the Project Quality Assurance Manager when assigned to projects.
- Identify, in consultation with Project functional groups, the systems and procedures that define the Project Quality Management System and prepare the Project Quality Plan accordingly for approval by the Project Manager and the Manager-QA.
- Accountable & Responsible for the following QA activities on the assigned project.
- Project Management Procedures – Review & Sign Off.
- QA/QC Deliverables on Projects.
- Review of Material Requisitions, Data Sheets, Technical Specifications, Technical Bid Evaluation.
- Vendor Documents Review – Typical ITP, PQP, ISO certificate, Bid Clarification.
- Audit – PQMS, Discipline Technical Audits & Actions Management.
- Health Check on Key Deliverables, Compliance Check on Key Processes.
- Risk Review Sessions
- Lessons Learned Sessions
- Quality Issues – RCA, Correction, Containment, Identification of Basic and Root Causes, Correctives - Review
- Customer Feedback Review & Actions
- Review of Inspection Documents (ITP, NDE procedures, FAT procedures, PWHT, Weld Procedure etc)
- Liaise with Engineering / Client for Technical Discussion for vendor queries.
- Coordinate with Clients / Vendors and Wood Engineering for Inspection activities.
- Non-Conformance Management – Audit Outcome, Inspection Outcome
- Monitor the effectiveness of the Quality Management System by conducting audits in accordance with the Corporate Audit Schedule as appropriate.
- Provide technical and administrative support to any Quality Assurance Engineer doing Project & Corporate activities.
- Assess Contractors and Suppliers Quality Management Systems.
- Be responsible, for the implementation of Continuous Improvement activities on the project.
- Support Manager – QA in proposals.
- Job responsibilities and duties in detail as listed in the Job Description.

Qualifications
Degree in an Engineering Discipline / Quality
- Demonstrable qualification on Quality Assurance.
- Total experience of 5 to 8 years.
- Lead Assessor certification in ISO 9001:2015 from a reputed company.
- Quality Assurance experience in an Engineering Company.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Hydrocarbon, Petrochemical industries and Power.
