Redpath Australia is seeking an experienced
Charge Up Operator to join our team at the Penny Gold Project near Mt Magnet.
As part of the global
Redpath Group, with almost 10,000 employees worldwide, you’ll be contributing to a leading mining contractor with expertise across shaft sinking, mine development, raiseboring, contract mining, underground construction, and specialised technical services.

About the Role
As a Charge Up Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient charging of underground development headings, working as part of a high‑performing team on a major gold project.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Conducting charging activities for underground development and production
- Handling, transporting and using explosives safely and in accordance with regulations
- Preparing blast patterns and ensuring accurate charge placement
- Working collaboratively within a structured underground production crew
- Maintaining high safety standards, hazard awareness and quality of work
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
- Current Shotfirer Licence (WA or nationally recognised)
- Proven underground charge up experience in development and production
- Strong commitment to safety, teamwork and continuous improvement
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a high-performing crew
- A positive attitude in line with Redpath’s motto: “Consider it done — safely.”
