Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Underground Manager, you will be part of the Underground Operation Department. You will act as a strategic partner across departments—engineering, maintenance, health & safety, environment, and operations—to develop, coordinate, and execute comprehensive operational readiness plans. You will also lead readiness initiatives, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, and ensure that systems, processes, people, and infrastructure are aligned for a safe, efficient, and sustainable operation. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Coordinate readiness activities across departments to ensure alignment with project milestones;
- Develop and implement department-wide operational readiness frameworks and checklists;
- Facilitate readiness reviews, gap analyses, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks;
- Manage readiness projects through all five phases: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure;
- Develop and maintain project documentation including charters, schedules (Gantt charts), risk registers, and communication plans;
- Track progress against readiness KPIs and provide regular updates to leadership;
- Work closely with department leads to define operational requirements, staffing plans, training needs, and system handovers;
- Facilitate workshops, process mapping sessions, and diagnostics to identify improvement opportunities;
- Support the development of SOPs, commissioning plans, and maintenance strategies;
- Support departments in identifying data and reporting needs to monitor readiness and early operational performance;
- Leverage data visualization tools to communicate progress and insights;
- Coordinate and lead readiness meetings, ensuring follow-up on action items and decisions.
What You Need To Succeed
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline;
- 5 to 10 years of experience in project management, operational readiness, or business optimization within industrial or resource-based sectors;
- Demonstrated skills in change management, strategic planning, and organizational execution;
- Proficient in data analysis and the development of comprehensive business cases to support decision-making and project justification;
- Communication skills with the ability to engage and influence key stakeholders across all departments;
- Experience in cost optimization, including budget development, cost tracking, and participation in variance analysis and financial review meetings;
- Proven ability to design and deliver business improvement training programs, including facilitation of in-person workshops and presentations;
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project;
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI or similar data visualization tools is considered an asset.
Your Work Schedule
- Hybrid Schedule: 40 hours per week (Mon-Friday). A combination of tele-working with site visit(s) once a month for a duration of 7 days, depending on operational or project requirements;
- Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides transportation to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
