Your impact
You will lead the QA/QC Testing team responsible for ensuring that all system changes across Newmont meet rigorous quality standards. Your work reduces risk, prevents non-compliance, and guarantees reliable, secure, and high-quality applications supporting global operations.
As part of our team, you will
• Supervise the QA/QC Testing team to ensure all change requests undergo thorough quality assurance reviews in strict compliance with Newmont’s established standards.
• Review IT Change Requests documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
• Track non-conformances and ensure timely and effective corrective actions.
• Define, oversee, and continuously improve QA/QC system review processes and delivery standards.
• Ensure approved enhancements and process improvements are implemented effectively by the team.
• Assign tasks, prioritize workload, and monitor team performance.
• Provide regular feedback, coaching, and training to improve technical, process, and social skills.
• Mentor and support QA/QC analysts with issue resolution and risk mitigation.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels by organizing shifts, on-call rotations, and resource allocation.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement through feedback loops and lessons learned.
• Collaborate with IT, development teams, and business stakeholders to ensure quality standards are met.
• Prepare and present quality metrics, compliance status, and risk reports to management.
Prerequisites for your success in this role
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in QA/QC, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of Network, Computing, Application Services, Database, and Enterprise systems.
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Change Management.
• Experience working with ALM tools and processes.
• Familiarity with enterprise platforms such as SAP, HCM, SuccessFactors, FICO, SCM, and EAM.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications, with strong Excel skills.
• Experience with manual and automated testing methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage escalations effectively.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead and influence teams.
Your work environment
You will work within Newmont’s Finance function as part of the Master Data Services team, collaborating closely with IT, development teams, and cross-functional business partners. This is a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment focused on process excellence, continuous improvement, and high-quality service delivery.
