About The Role
We are looking for trade qualified
Electrical and Instrumentation Technicians to join our Asset Management team, based at our Bell Bay Aluminium Smelter.
Our team is flexible and dynamic, primarily completing breakdown response works. You will focus on maintenance of our fixed plant assets, site wide.
Working a continuous Shift Roster, this will give you the opportunity to balance your work and other commitments to spend time on the things that are important to you.
Reporting to the
Maintenance Supervisor, your role may involve;
- Maintaining and replacing electrical equipment.
- Planned maintenance including PLC, Instrumentation, motor drives and other plant equipment, including Autonomous Forklift equipment.
- Troubleshooting, calibrating, repair and service of fixed plant electrical assets.
- Execution of planned and unplanned breakdown maintenance.
- Prioritising and self-managing your repair schedule.
- Ability to work effectively both within a team and independently.
What You’ll Bring
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.
- Valid C Class drivers licence.
- An Australian 'A' grade Electrical licence.
- Instrumentation Certificate.
- PLC & SCADA experience desirable.
- Proven history of fault finding and repairs on various electrical equipment.
- Experience with motors & VSDs, working on Conveyors, Crushers & Ship Loaders – Or similar equipment
