SRK Consulting is an independent, international consulting practice, providing globally integrated consulting services to the international mining and metals sector.
We are seeking a Principal Civil/ Environmental Engineer.
Description Of Responsibilities
- Active engagement in advancing SRK’s engineering and environmental practice in Tucson
- Active engagement and responsibility for new business development and proposals
- Develop and support multi-disciplinary mine development, site characterization, and reclamation projects in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and elsewhere as needed.
- Develop engineering scopes (conceptual to FS) and manage delivery of technical work products
- Project management of budgets, schedules, change control processes, and sub-consultants / contractors
- Technical oversight of engineering design projects, including design criteria, development of alternatives, familiarity with cost estimation
- Prepare and review of supporting engineering calculations, models, methods
- Manage delivery of technical work products in engineering team environment
- Interface with clients and perform site visits / limited travel
- Provide guidance/mentorship to junior engineers and geoscientists.
- Other duties as required
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field
- Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Arizona or ability to obtain registration within one year
- Minimum 15 years of experience in the mining industry; professional consulting services preferred
- Ability and desire to collaborate with other SRK global technical specialists in mining, geochemistry, geotechnics, groundwater, and environmental disciplines in a team-oriented environment
- Expert analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong inter-personal and communication, written and verbal
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
