Job Description
Wood is recruiting a Document Control Lead to support a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) project under development within its Malaysia Business Unit. This role will be embedded within the Onsite Owner’s Representative team, ensuring project documentation is accurate, controlled, traceable, and fully compliant with Owner, regulatory, and project requirements throughout the development and execution lifecycle.
The role will interface closely with Owner teams, engineering contractors, licensors, construction contractors, and consultants to maintain documentation integrity from early development through construction and closeout.

Responsibilities
This position will act as the Owner’s Representative and will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of project documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Owner, regulatory, and project requirements.
The Document Control Lead will support coordination, administration, and closeout of documentation across all stakeholders and phases of the project, working closely with Owner data center teams, designers, contractors, and consultants to drive documentation quality and timely project closeout.
You Will
- Act as the Owner’s Representative for document control, overseeing all project documentation across development, design, construction, and closeout phases
- Coordinate documentation activities across multiple stakeholders, including Owner teams, EPC/EPCM contractors, licensors, engineers, and vendors
- Administer and govern the project Electronic Document Management System (EDMS), ensuring correct structure, access, version control, and traceability
- Monitor and enforce compliance with Owner standards, project procedures, regulatory requirements, and document control plans
- Implement and manage document change control processes, ensuring accurate revision tracking and controlled distribution
- Conduct documentation quality checks and audits, including review of contractor and consultant submissions for completeness and readiness
- Support progressive documentation handover and final project closeout, identifying and resolving gaps to ensure timely and compliant completion

Expected
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline
- 8 - 12 years of document control or information management experience, preferably on LNG, oil & gas, or large-scale energy infrastructure projects
- Demonstrated experience administering EDMS platforms within complex, multi-contractor project environments
- Strong understanding of engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (EPCC) documentation workflows
- Proven ability to manage documentation interfaces between Owner teams, contractors, and external stakeholders
- High attention to detail with strong organisational, communication, and coordination skills
- Experience supporting project documentation closeout and handover in line with Owner and regulatory requirements
