Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Exploration Logistics Coordinator, you will be part of the Ontario Regional Exploration Team and have a vital role in advancing exploration across all Ontario Regional Exploration properties. You will ensure that all goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and environmental responsibilities.
- Handle, organize, and maintain drill core and rock samples, including core reception, box labeling, photography, storage, and inventory tracking;
- Assist geologists with core logging and basic geotechnical logging, ensuring accurate measurements and consistent data recording;
- Support core shack and field operations and logistics, including maintaining tools, equipment, facilities, and workspaces;
- Assist with sample preparation and handling, following established procedures and QA/QC protocols;
- Participate in field programs such as mapping, prospecting, outcrop stripping, and channel sampling;
- Work collaboratively with geologists, technicians, and contractors to ensure consistent standards and efficient field operations;
- Maintain safe work practices and comply with Agnico Eagle’s Health, Safety, Environmental, and Cultural policies.
What You Need To Succeed
- Post‑secondary education in mining technology or a related field, or equivalent practical experience;
- Strong commitment to Health, Safety, and Environmental best practices;
- Ability to regularly lift up to ~50 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook;
- Strong attention to detail, organization;
- Ability to follow written procedures and work independently with minimal supervision once trained;
- Ability to work effectively in a team with good communication skills;
- Experience operating a forklift or loader;
- Valid Drivers license.
Your Work Schedule
- Schedule: 8 days of work, followed by 6 days for transportation and rest;
- Travel allowance is provided;
- Based in Dobie, near Kirkland Lake, Ontario.
