Purpose
The HR Expat – Services & Engagement is responsible for delivering efficient HR services and driving employee engagement initiatives that enhance workplace culture, satisfaction, and productivity. This role ensures smooth HR operations while fostering a positive employee experience across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
1. HR Services & Operations
Provide day-to-day HR support to employees and managers (policies, procedures, inquiries).
Manage employee lifecycle processes: onboarding, transfers, promotions, and exits.
Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.
Ensure compliance with labour laws and internal HR policies.
Coordinate payroll inputs, benefits administration, and leave management.
2. Employee Engagement
Design and implement employee engagement strategies and programs.
Organize events, team-building activities, and recognition programs.
Conduct employee surveys (e.g., engagement, satisfaction) and analyze feedback.
Develop action plans to improve employee morale and retention.
Promote company culture, values, and inclusivity initiatives.
3. Employee Relations
Act as a point of contact for employee concerns and grievances.
Support conflict resolution and disciplinary processes.
Advise managers on employee relations issues and best practices.
Foster a positive and respectful work environment.
4. HR Projects & Initiatives
Participate in HR transformation and continuous improvement projects.
Support diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.
Implement HR programs aligned with business strategy.
5. Communication & Stakeholder Management
Communicate HR policies, updates, and initiatives clearly.
Collaborate with leadership and department heads on engagement strategies.
Build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.

Qualifications & expierence
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in HR services and employee engagement
Must be a registered member of the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZHRIM) in good standing
Possession of a valid ZHRIM practicing license
Demonstrated experience in managing employee relations, engagement initiatives, and HR operations
Sound knowledge of Zambian labour laws and HR best practices
Experience using HR information systems (HRIS) and data reporting tools

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and hiring coordination
Coordinate and facilitate employee orientation and onboarding to ensure a smooth integration into the organization
Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential employee records in compliance with data protection standards
Update and manage HR databases and information systems (Workday) to ensure data integrity and accessibility
Administer employee benefits, leave management, and statutory obligations, including payroll-related deductions
Ensure full compliance with applicable labour laws and internal company policies and procedures
Support performance management processes, including appraisals, goal setting, and performance tracking
Analyze HR data and metrics to inform decision-making and support strategic HR initiatives
