Rainy River Mine
Situated in beautiful northwestern Ontario, 65 km northwest of Fort Frances, the Rainy River Mine is an open pit and underground, gold and silver producing, residential mine site.
The Rainy River Mine, located adjacent to the Ontario / Minnesota border is 65 Kilometers northwest of Fort Frances, Ontario and is situated half way between Winnipeg, Manitoba and Thunder Bay, Ontario The area is home to more than 130 species of birds and large populations of moose, black bear and deer. If you enjoy outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, winter sports and lake country then this is an area you will love to live and work in.
About The Role
Schedule: Shift 7/7 – 12 hour days/nights
Term: 3 Month Temporary
Position Reports To: Mine Maintenance Supervisor
Po Sition Overview
We are currently seeking a dedicated and hard working individual to join our team as a Mobile Maintenance Labourer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring proper protocols are followed with various tasks within the Maintenance department and ensuring a safe work environment. No prior Maintenance experience is needed, the successful applicant will recieve on the job training to aquire the necessay skills and knowledge required for the position. This is a temporary three (3) month contract with the potential to become a full-time opportunity based on the candidate's attendance, positive work attitude and willingness to learn. Please note that camp and travel accomodations are not available for this role.
Preference will be given to local residents of the Rainy River district.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining wash bay in a safe and orderly fashion
- Maintain a clean work area and perform work in a clean and orderly manner. Clean up wash bay daily, putting away all hoses, cords tools, supplies and clean the floor.
- Washing mining equipment and components as directed
- Performing routine and daily inspections of applicable equipment
- Assisting in normal maintenance practices and procedures
- Operate fuel trucks, adhering to all safety protocols
- Yard/shop clean-up
Qualifications
- V alid Driver’s License – must have minimum of class G2 license
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Physically fit with the ability to work in conditions that are exposed to the elements
- Good attention to detail
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Experience in operating commercial size fuel truck an asset
- Knowledge and experience working on heavy equipment is considered an asset
The anticipated salary for this position will be between $58,000 to 61,000.
