About Island Gold District
Alamos Gold’s Island Gold District will become one of the largest and lowest-cost gold mines in Canada. Accounts Payable Technician

Role Overview
As an
Accounts Payable Technician, reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor, you will be responsible for processing invoices and ensuring timely and accurate payments in accordance with established procedures. You will support the finance function by maintaining strong vendor relationships, monitoring payment schedules, and producing regular accounts payable reports.
Key Responsibilities
Invoice Processing: Receive, code, and enter invoices into SAP, ensuring completeness and compliance before submission for approval.
Payment Preparation: Prepare weekly payment runs, cash calls, electronic funds transfers (EFT), cheques, wire payments, and other approved payment methods.
Supplier Management: Communicate with suppliers to resolve discrepancies, verify information, follow up on outstanding invoices, and ensure timely payments, including monitoring supplier discounts.
Accounts Reconciliation & Reporting: Verify receipts not invoiced, review supplier statements, and prepare monthly accounts payable aging reports and other ad‑hoc reports as required.
Internal Collaboration: Support the purchasing department by creating new suppliers in SAP and assisting with invoice investigations and follow‑ups.
What You Bring To The Table
- College diploma in Accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1–3 years of experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer literacy.
- Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems is considered an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English (mandatory).
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and strong administrative skills.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a team environment.

Working Conditions

- Proposed schedules: 4 days on / 3 days off or 5 days on / 2 days off.

Salary: $62,250 CAD - $101,950 CAD
