About the Role
As an Auto Electrician with Redpath, you will be responsible for the electrical maintenance, diagnostics and repair of a modern fleet of
Sandvik underground mining equipment, ensuring maximum reliability and safe operation across site.
Equipment Includes
- Sandvik development drills
- Sandvik production drills
- Sandvik loaders (LHDs)
- Sandvik trucks
- Auxiliary underground support equipment
You’ll work within a skilled maintenance team committed to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Electrical diagnostics, fault‑finding and repairs on Sandvik underground equipment
- Preventative and scheduled maintenance
- Breakdown response and troubleshooting
- Ensuring compliance with site, OEM and Redpath standards
- Accurate completion of maintenance records and reporting
- Contributing to a safe, efficient and team‑focused work environment
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
- Trade‑qualified Auto Electrician
- Experience with Sandvik underground mining equipment (highly regarded)
- Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills
- Solid understanding of underground mining electrical systems
- Commitment to safe work practices and procedures
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
- Previous underground or heavy industrial experience preferred
