Senior Superintendent – Mission Critical / Data Centre Projects
We are working with a leading contractor in the advanced technology and mission‑critical space who is seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to lead major data centre builds.
This role is suited to a seasoned field leader with a strong track record in complex commercial or data centre projects, who thrives in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.
The Role
As Senior Superintendent, you will take overall responsibility for on‑site delivery, working closely with the wider project team while leading and mentoring site management and craft teams. You’ll play a key role from pre‑construction through to project completion.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing leadership and direction to Superintendents and Assistant Superintendents on live projects
- Supporting pre‑construction and bid phases by contributing to construction strategy, sequencing, and schedule validation
- Driving collaborative planning through short‑interval planning, look‑ahead schedules, and production tracking
- Developing, maintaining, and updating detailed construction schedules, including logic ties and impact reviews
- Managing all site logistics and maintaining positive relationships with surrounding stakeholders
- Liaising with local authorities and inspectors to achieve permitting and occupancy milestones
- Championing a best‑in‑class safety culture and leading an injury‑free jobsite program
- Coordinating subcontractors, self‑perform teams, and resource loading to ensure smooth execution
- Developing and mentoring foremen with a focus on long‑term career progression
- Acting as the primary point of contact on site for owners and design teams, representing field operations professionally
About You
We’re looking for a hands‑on leader with strong communication skills, sound judgement, and the ability to manage technically complex builds.
You will ideally bring:
- 10+ years’ experience as a Superintendent on large‑scale commercial construction projects
- Previous exposure to data centre or advanced technology projects (highly preferred)
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop teams
- Excellent coordination, problem‑solving, and stakeholder‑management abilities
- Proficiency with MS Office and construction management software (e.g. Prolog or similar)
- Experience using scheduling tools such as Primavera or equivalent
- Relevant construction supervisor licensing (ABC licence preferred where applicable)
- A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset and strong work ethic
