Job Title: Electrical Supervisor
Reports To: HB & North Superintendent
Location: New Mexico – HB & North
Overview
The Electrical Supervisor directs a multi-discipline maintenance team to provide maintenance and reliability services for HB & North Plant Surface Operations. This position is responsible for ensuring equipment and system availability and integrity to meet defined production targets and contribute to the success of the organization’s business plan goals.
Job Duties
- Ensure all electrical and instrumentation maintenance activities performed by hourly and contractor personnel are carried out safely, efficiently, and in an environmentally sound manner by ensuring required procedures, practices, standards, and rules are documented and followed.
- Maximize equipment availability by determining potential hazards and risks to production and developing and implementing systems to maintain required availability and integrity.
- Ensure maintenance philosophies are correctly applied to each unit and reflected in preventive maintenance (PM) schedules as directed by the HB & North Surface Superintendent.
- Lead a multi-discipline maintenance team with diverse skill sets toward common departmental and organizational goals.
- Control maintenance costs in a dynamic environment impacted by changing production rates, equipment wear, new technology, physical plant changes, and workforce variability.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid Driver’s License
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a mining, plant, or industrial production environment, including operating or maintenance experience preferred
- Three (3) or more years of supervisory experience preferred
- Maintenance planning and scheduling experience preferred
- Supervisory or management experience in an industrial environment
- Broad technical knowledge across electrical and instrumentation disciplines

SCHEDULE AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
9/80 schedule: Monday – Thursday, 9-hour workdays, Fridays worked, 8-hour workday, with every other Friday off. Schedule subject to change.
- Work environment will include both office and industrial plant settings.
- Exposure to loud noise, heavy equipment, and outdoor weather conditions.
- Employees are required to wear safety attire and personal protective equipment (PPE) when applicable.
Physical Requirements
- Standing, walking, sitting, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movements, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, reaching or grasping
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, and push and/or pull up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to climb stairs and/or ladders, and potentially work at heights, perceive color differences
- Will be required to wear personal protective equipment as needed and engage in strenuous physical activity
A pre-placement physical and hair follicle drug test will be required for anyone selected for this opportunity. Placement into the position will not be made until the results are received and cleared by Intrepid.
