About the Role:
The
Supervisor, Senior – Employee Development Trainer will be responsible for delivering training and maintaining training matrix for mobile equipment fleets in the operational departments. Expected to deliver both accredited and non-accredited courses, that aligns with NPL compliance standards. Also expected to design and develop training packages and work with relevant training professionals both in-house and externally.
In This Role, You Will
- Delivery of accredited (RII) units
- Schedule classroom planning and training
- Development training materials and lesson plans
- Working with Superintendents and Foreman’s, support leading hands/supervisors to successfully achieve their KPI’s
- Train and deliver coaching, mentoring and support frontline leaders across NPL operations
- Write training report and review evaluation feedback forms
- Maintain a high level of health and safety awareness and comply with the NPL Occupational Health & Safety Policy and all health & Safety Policy
About You
To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Must have relevant training qualification with a Cert IV in Training and Assessment / TAE 40116 or TAE 40122 – highly recommended.
- Minimum-TAE 40110
- Familiarity with adult learning theory and experience facilitating professional learning workshops for a group/team.
- Must have very strong work experience in the mining operational and related industries or construction projects
- Must have no less than 10 years in a supervisory role
- Must have Valid class 6 and Class 4 (PNG) driver’s license
- Ideally with 5 years’ experience in Heavy Rigid vehicle operation in the mining and construction projects
- Beneficial hold Statements of Attainment for W&H, CSE, Mobile Plant-Forklift. EWP, ITC Loader, Skid Steer, etc.

Mobilization Requirement
This is a PNG National position, a site-based role on a FIFO arrangement with a rotation of 21 days on and 14 days off. Candidates must be willing to successfully pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening (to be arranged only for successful candidates after the interview stage), and provide an up-to-date Police Clearance Certificate (acquired within the last 6 months). Candidates must be PNG Citizens and available to start immediately. Females are encouraged to apply.
