Your impact
As an Advisor, Contract Management – Sustaining Capital at Boddington, you will play a key role in embedding strong commercial practices and ensuring effective contract governance across site‑based sustaining capital projects.
Partnering closely with operational teams and contract owners, you will manage contracts across the full lifecycle — from sourcing and onboarding through to performance management, variations, and close‑out.
Your ability to influence stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and drive commercial outcomes will directly support the safe, efficient, and value‑driven delivery of sustaining capital projects across site.
As part of our team you will
- Partner with site‑based teams and contract owners to support effective contractor engagement and commercial outcomes
- Lead and support end‑to‑end sourcing activities, including tendering, evaluation, negotiation, and contract award
- Provide guidance on scope development, contractor onboarding, and relationship management
- Manage contracts across their full lifecycle, including variations, renewals, extensions, and dispute resolution
- Maintain accurate contract registers, documentation, and correspondence across systems such as SAP and ARIB
- Monitor supplier performance against safety obligations, KPIs, and SLAs
- Support contract owners with progress claims, risk management, and cost control
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, capital governance frameworks, and contracting standards
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and uplift commercial capability across site
Prerequisites for your success in the role
- Degree in Business, Commerce, Law, or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience in contract management or commercial roles within mining, construction, or heavy industry
- Strong understanding of contract law, procurement processes, and commercial principles
- Experience managing contracts across construction and sustaining capital projects
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a complex operational environment
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
- Experience with contract management systems (SAP and/or ARIBA preferred)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- High attention to detail, organisation, and time‑management capability
- Knowledge of safety and compliance requirements in contractor engagement
Your work environment
This role is site‑based at Newmont’s Boddington Gold Mine, located approximately 130 km south of Perth, operating on a 5/2–4/3 roster. You may choose to live locally and commute daily, or, if based outside the local area, stay in Village accommodation for your roster under a DIDO arrangement
