As part of our continued growth, we are expanding into the India market and establishing a new operational hub to support our global projects.
Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on HR professional to support the launch of our India operations. This role will initially focus on full-cycle recruitment of engineering and technical talent to build out our local team. As hiring milestones are achieved, the role will evolve into a site-based HR Business Partner, serving as the primary HR point of contact for employees and leadership at the location.
This is a unique opportunity to help build an organization from the ground up and play a key role in shaping the employee experience in a new market.
Key Responsibilities
Phase 1: Talent Acquisition (First 3–6 Months)
- Lead full-cycle recruitment for engineering, project, and corporate roles
- Partner with global and local leadership to understand hiring needs and workforce planning
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for niche engineering talent in India
- Build relationships with external agencies, universities, and talent pipelines
- Ensure a high-quality candidate experience aligned with company standards
- Support offer negotiations and onboarding processes
Phase 2: HR Business Partner / Site HR Lead
- Serve as the primary HR contact for employees and managers at the site
- Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, and HR policies
- Support onboarding, engagement, and retention initiatives
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and company policies
- Partner with leadership on organizational development and workforce planning
- Help establish and implement HR processes, systems, and best practices for the new location
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including strong recruiting experience for technical or engineering roles
- Experience supporting or building operations in India strongly preferred
- Knowledge of Indian labor laws and HR practices
- Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and startup-like environment
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience working in EPC, construction, engineering, or similar industries is a plus
