Your impact
Reporting to the Manager, Sustaining Capital Projects for the Boddington mine operation, in this position you will lead the safe and efficient delivery of sustaining capital projects that support ongoing operational performance across the site. You will oversee a team of Supervisors and work closely with internal functions, contractors and business partners to ensure projects are executed on time, within scope and in alignment with Newmont’s safety and quality standards.
This role provides the opportunity to influence project outcomes across the full lifecycle — from planning and technical reviews and safe execution, performance monitoring and close‑out. You will play a key role in ensuring that sustaining capital works are integrated seamlessly into operational schedules and delivered to the highest standard.
This is a permanent drive-in, drive-out role (5:2, 4:3 roster) from Perth or regional South-Western Australia. Site accommodation will be provided.
As part of our team you will
- Lead, coordinate and coach a team of Supervisors to safely execute approved sustaining capital projects
- Manage business partner and contractor relationships to ensure effective project execution
- Identify operational risks, develop mitigation strategies and ensure implementation of action plans to support safe and efficient project delivery
- Oversee logistics, resources and budget integration for sustaining capital activities
- Evaluate project performance metrics and distribute reporting to stakeholders
- Contribute to technical reviews and project planning processes
- Conduct regular inspections and safety audits across project sites
- Collaborate with internal teams, contractors and vendors to ensure project requirements are clearly communicated and met
- Work closely with other department leads to ensure appropriate support and service delivery

Prerequisites for your success in the role
- Strong experience leading and developing supervisor level teams
- Experience in project implementation and stakeholder engagement
- Ability to manage personal workload while integrating with site level schedules
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or Project Management (desirable)
- Advanced proficiency in project management, execution and risk management
- Strong skills in business partner engagement and contract management
- Strong skills in project scheduling, budgeting and compliance
- Understanding of KPIs, cost management and financial principles
- Knowledge of health, safety, environment and sustainability requirements
- Strong self-awareness and ability to adapt behaviour to context
- Ability to resolve conflict, influence stakeholders and negotiate outcomes
- Experience fostering inclusive, high performing teams
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- Full and unrestricted right to work in Australia essential
