About the Job: Responsible for coordinating execution of planned maintenance projects and major repairs to minimize mean time to repair (MTTR) and support availability targets set in by the site Production guidance. Responsible for coordination of emergent work that takes place outside of the normal planning and scheduling process. Assists in the development and implementation of maintenance related continuous reliability improvement activities. Performs root cause failure analysis; recommends and implements remediation action as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring a safe workplace while enforcing safety, environmental, and company procedures and guidelines.
- Enforce adherence and compliance to weekly and monthly PM schedules.
- Promote timely, efficient, and effective execution of the PM services.Responsible for oversight and monitoring of scheduled major repair outages and similar projects. Works closely with shift supervisors and contractors to identify and manage bottlenecks, functional capability gaps and constraints with these projects to ensure that actions are in place to deliver results consistent with the department dashboard key performance indicators (KPI) metrics.
- Responsible for ensuring Maintenance team is equipped with required critical spares, workforce, and logistics for a successful execution of work.
- Collaborate with SCM team to maximize level of service for inventory/consignment parts.
- Review weekly and monthly progress reports and KPI information.
- Recommend and implement changes as needed to ensure continuous improvement in the areas of project execution and efficient work practices.
- Facilitate and lead in continuous equipment reliability improvement initiatives.
- Promote and support planned maintenance/ condition monitoring program and coordinate priority of ongoing work.
- Identify risks that could prevent successful completion of department goals. Assess the potential impact and take action to mitigate the risk.
- Monitor vendor agreements and performance to ensure service level standards are maintained and that all operational expenses are consistent with contractual obligations.
- Develop and deliver performance reviews for assigned staff.
- Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering preferred, or substantial technical background in surface mobile maintenance equipment.
- Ten (10) years of demonstrated experience in mine equipment maintenance required.
- Knowledgeable with Viziya and Oracle/EAM scheduling tool or similar system andAvent-X Mobile App will be desirable.
- Adept in strategic planning, preventative maintenance, condition monitoring and reliability engineering.
- Proficient in fleet management strategy and asset management by developing maintenance strategies and performance metrics to increase efficiency, monitor maintenance planning KPI’s, schedule compliance, component tracking, planned component replacement (PCR) and major component replacement schedule, work order and backlog management.
- Well versed in establishing a disciplined approach to maintaining critical consignment spares to manage immediate and future material requirements.
- Thorough understanding of standard maintenance and operational procedures, utilizing best practice work management and be able to complete tasks with guidelines stipulated by Coeur safety and environmental policies.
- Ability to work collaboratively and use teamwork to solve problems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams safely and personally model leadership and safety behaviors.
- Effective oral and written communication to include interpersonal and interviewing skills, involving sensitive and confidential matters.
