Como Supervisor/a de Communities & Social Performance, tendrás un rol clave en fortalecer relaciones basadas en la confianza con comunidades locales, autoridades y otros actores relevantes. Vas a acompañar procesos que aseguren que nuestras operaciones se desarrollen de manera responsable, alineadas con estándares internacionales y con las expectativas de las comunidades.
Formarás parte de un equipo colaborativo y multidisciplinario, trabajando junto a distintas áreas para integrar la gestión social en el día a día de la operación. Asegurando un relacionamiento comunitario efectivo y sostenible, el cumplimiento de los Estándares CSP de Rio Tinto, de normas y sistemas de gestión reconocidos, y una gestión eficiente de costos, presupuesto y desempeño, alineada con la estrategia de negocio regional, con foco en cero desvíos, mejora continua, innovación y excelencia operativa.
Responsabilidades
- Liderar e implementar estrategias de relacionamiento con comunidades, autoridades y otros stakeholders, adaptadas a cada contexto local
- Gestionar el presupuesto, costos y forecast del área, asegurando eficiencia y alineamiento con prioridades del negocio
- Supervisar la gestión de reclamos, incidentes sociales y temas de derechos humanos, impulsando enfoques de cero desvíos
- Definir y monitorear indicadores de desempeño social, impulsando análisis de resultados y mejora continua
- Acompañar procesos de consulta, participación y comunicación comunitaria, asegurando coherencia con acuerdos y compromisos
- Identificar, evaluar y gestionar riesgos sociales, integrándolos en los sistemas de gestión del sitio
- Asegurar el cumplimiento de estándares internacionales y corporativos, promoviendo prácticas responsables y preventivas
- Supervisar programas de inversión social, colaborando con equipos internos y asegurando reportes claros y consistentes
Sobre vos

- Título universitario en Ciencias Económicas o Sociales.
- Experiencia en gestión comunitaria, desempeño social o roles similares en minería, energía o proyectos complejos
- Experiencia en gestión de presupuesto, costos e indicadores (Excluyente).
- Conocimiento en gestión de riesgos sociales, derechos humanos y estándares internacionales
- Habilidades de comunicación y relacionamiento en contextos interculturales
- Inglés intermedio/avanzado oral y escrito. (Excluyente).

About The Role

As a Communities & Social Performance Supervisor, you will play a key role in strengthening trust-based relationships with local communities, authorities, and other relevant stakeholders. You will support processes that ensure our operations are carried out responsibly, aligned with international standards and community expectations.
You will be part of a collaborative and multidisciplinary team, working across different areas to integrate social performance into day-to-day operations. You will ensure effective and sustainable community engagement, compliance with Rio Tinto CSP Standards, recognized norms and management systems, and efficient management of costs, budget, and performance. All of this will be aligned with the regional business strategy, with a focus on zero deviations, continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead and implement engagement strategies with communities, authorities, and other stakeholders, tailored to each local context
- Manage the area’s budget, costs, and forecast, ensuring efficiency and alignment with business priorities
- Oversee the management of grievances, social incidents, and human rights issues, driving a zero-deviation approach
- Define and monitor social performance indicators, promoting results analysis and continuous improvement
- Support community consultation, participation, and communication processes, ensuring alignment with agreements and commitments
- Identify, assess, and manage social risks, integrating them into site management systems
- Ensure compliance with international and corporate standards, promoting responsible and preventive practices
- Oversee social investment programs, collaborating with internal teams and ensuring clear and consistent reporting
About You
You care about generating positive and sustainable impact in communities. You bring a strategic mindset while also maintaining a practical, execution-oriented approach.
- University degree in Economics or Social Sciences.
- Experience in community management, social performance, or similar roles in mining, energy, or complex projects
- Experience in budget, cost, and KPI management (mandatory)
- Knowledge of social risk management, human rights, and international standards
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills in intercultural environments
- Intermediate/advanced English, both written and spoken (mandatory)
