Role Overview
As a
Utility 4 – Equipment Operator, you will play a key role in supporting site services and maintaining safe, efficient site conditions. You will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy equipment and supporting daily operational targets while ensuring safety for yourself and your team. Working closely with Site Services and operations teams, you will contribute to site readiness, maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Safety & Compliance:
Promote a strong safety culture by participating in safety meetings, performing risk assessments, and reporting hazards, incidents, and near misses.
Equipment Operation
Operate a variety of heavy equipment (loaders, graders, excavators, trucks, etc.) safely and efficiently to meet daily operational requirements.
Inspection & Maintenance
Inspect equipment, identify faults, and maintain equipment integrity to ensure safe and reliable performance.
Site Services Support
Maintain site conditions through activities such as snow removal, material handling, wash bay operations, and equipment transport.
Team Collaboration & Communication
Communicate effectively via two-way radio and collaborate with team members to achieve productivity goals.
Continuous Improvement
Participate in initiatives that improve efficiency, safety, and operational performance.
What You Bring To The Table
- Minimum 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment in a mining or industrial environment.
- Valid Class 1 driver’s license and Heavy Equipment Operator certification.
- Experience operating equipment such as: Semi tractor/trailer, telehandler, excavator, grader, loader, skid steer, water truck, vac truck, fuel truck, and dozer.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Experience in site services and mine site operations is considered an asset.
- Preferred: Experience with John Deere, Komatsu, and Caterpillar equipment.

Working Conditions
- 15x13 rotational work schedule
- Site-based role in northern Manitoba with cold climate conditions
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, shoveling, and general labour activities
- Extended periods of operating heavy equipment
Travel & Accommodation

Salary: $32.62 CAD - $43.59 CAD
The expected salary range for this role is intended to support transparency and informed decision making. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience and internal equity.
