About The Role
The Senior Integrated Planning Engineer is a newly establish role that is vital to supporting the growth of our operation. This role will be key to ensuring the optimal use of our resources to sustainably transition from our sublevel-caving operation and bring online Carrapateena’s block cave.
In this role you will be responsible for vetting, implementing and running an integrated short term planning tool (shifty to end of week 0). You will work closely with the Mine Operations and Short Term Planning teams to drive the execution of the Weekly Plan and mine wide strategic priorities.
Location: Carrapateena, South Australia (60-minute flight from Adelaide / 30-minute flight from Port Augusta)
Roster: FIFO 8 days on, 6 days off or 4 days on, 3 days off initially
In this role you will:
Initial workload (first 12 months)
- Vet Integrated Planning software
- Gain Management endorsement for Integrated Planning tool to be used at Carrapateena
- Project manager for software/process implementation
- Build weekly schedule into new software
- Train weekly schedulers, dispatch, supervisors, mine coordinators how to use
- Establish process documents and RACI
- Build and establish routines for compliance to plan tracking
- Establish daily role requirements for sustainable Integrated Planning roles
- Roll out Integrated Planning tool to all of site, provide coaching and training
Long term workload
- Back-to-back with Integrated Planning Engineer (on 8:6 DS roster)
- Drive compliance to the weekly schedule and mine’s strategic objectives
- Validate data capture of actuals
- Coordinating/reforecasting of the Week 0 plan
- Responsible for allocation of resources to high priority work
- Identify and drive improvements in production, safety, process and systems
About You
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships with multiple internal stakeholders
- Strong leadership skills with demonstrated experience in safety leadership
- Influential and impactful communicator
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or equivalent
- Demonstrated mining industry experience is essential
- Experience in underground hard rock mining is essential. Sublevel cave or block cave experience highly regarded
- Weekly scheduling experience (essential)
- Completed underground crew work (highly regarded)
- Experience as project manager (desirable)
- Experience with short term planning tools (Deswik Ops or similar) is desirable
- Proficient in Deswik.CAD and Sched
- Valid manual Australian Drivers Licence
