Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the General Supervisor - IT/OT, you will be a part of the information Technology Team within Agnico Eagle Mines (AEM) Upper Beaver Site that works within a Global team of professionals, and will be responsible for Upper Beaver’s site IT/OT support. You will facilitate all IT and OT activities at the Mine Site and work closely with business units within the organization to provide effective service delivery and technology. You will also provide support for design guidance related to software, hardware, infrastructure, computing resources, networks, enterprise systems and process control or automation. Additionally, in conjunction with Regional IT, this role ensures that Upper Beaver aligns for AEM Corporate Policy and Guidance for all activities. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
Employees with this job designation should have at least 5 years of IT/OT experience, Underground Mining experience or similar industrial setting. The IT department at Upper Beaver supports a converged Information Technology (IT) and Operations Technology (OT) environment, significant experience with the unique requirements of both practices is required for effective service delivery.
- Supports, develops, and maintains the IT/OT function and technology at Upper Beaver, maintains partnerships with internal AEM Global Support teams and third-party vendors; escalates support requirements and ensure priorities are addressed where required;
- Work closely with AEM Corporate Teams and AEM Regional Teams to enable alignment with governance and standards, policy, cyber security, audit, compliance and procedures;
- Oversight and accountability of all site IT and OT requirements, including Desktop and End User Support, Tier 1 and Tier 2 onsite requirements as well as Tier 1 and Tier 2 Infrastructure Support to ensure timely and effective service delivery;
- Business process controls as they relate to IT;
- Manage your own health and safety while at work and avoid adversely affecting the health and safety of other persons;
- Facilitate and Plan all Health and Safety requirements for the visiting support partners related to your functional area;
- Comply with all employer instructions relating to health and safety;
- Assist in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment in accordance with policies and procedures.
What You Need To Succeed
- 5 years of IT/OT experience in a Mining or Industrial setting, demonstrated experience with project management would be considered an advantage;
- Post-Secondary education in a Technology centric field OR Process Control and Automation background with appropriate IT exposure and experience;
- Expert knowledge of information technologies and designing of systems as it relates to the Agnico Eagle portfolio of IT and OT Systems (UNIFI, Cisco, VMware, Cluster PBX, Windows Server, O365, Private LTE, Wireless Communications, etc);
- Experience in the mining industry would be ideal.

- Schedule: 5/2 or 4/3 schedule at our Upper Beaver Gold Project in Dobie, ON.
