About the Job:
The Company is seeking a Short-Range Planner – Mobile Equipment Maintenance for its Rochester Mine in Lovelock, Nevada. The Short-Range Planner will oversee the weekly Maintenance Planning and Scheduling for mobile fleets by collecting information from the daily Pre-Operational Check Sheets, Daily Work Requests, Trakka Oil Analysis Data, completed PM Packets and information from the Long-Range Planners. Rochester’s fleet of equipment includes a Komatsu PC4000 and Hitachi 2600 face shovels, three CAT 994K loaders, twenty-six CAT 789 Haul Trucks, two CAT 6250 Drills, two DML Drills, one Epiroc 235 Viper Drill, six CAT D10 Dozers and miscellaneous support Water Trucks, Graders, RTD equipment and an assortment of medium and light duty vehicles.
Responsibilities:
•Develop weekly work packages for preventative, shutdown and backlog maintenance work.
•Work closely with the Sr. Maintenance Planners across the different mobile and Light Vehicle Fleets.
•Work closely with the Mine Maintenance Parts Coordinators to ensure parts have been received prior to building the weekly schedule.
•Work closely with all Mobile Maintenance Supervisors, General Supervisors and Reliability Team to collect all relevant information to be able to prioritize the scope of each Planned Packet.
•Must have the ability to think ahead and plan within timelines and resources; develop work scopes, plan, and schedule work; set priorities and goals; anticipate and adjust for problems; evaluate workloads; measure and evaluate performance against established goals.
•Ability to analyze problems and develop effective solutions at both strategic and functional levels.
•Works closely with all Supervisors and Contractors to identify and manage bottlenecks, functional gaps, and constraints with any projects to ensure that actions are in place to deliver results consistent with the department key performance indicators (KPI) metrics.
•Manage the work order backlog system, such that the work is planned and scheduled based upon priority and business needs.
•Generate and complete work orders, requisitions, sole source justification and management of change documents, SOP’s and procedures as required.
•Collaborate with the Warehouse and Purchasing Team daily to ensure the proper flow of parts.
•Collects data from daily work requests, validates the work and prioritizes, separates out work to be planned in versus emergency work that needs to be pushed down to the front-line supervisors.
•Collects data from the TRAKKA Oil Analysis site and prioritizes the work orders created.
•May be required to fill in for the Sr. Maintenance Planners as required.
•Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
•Two (2) years of experience in mine equipment maintenance or similar construction equipment.
•Proficient with Microsoft Software such as Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.
•Knowledgeable with Oracle/JDE, SAP or similar CMMS systems as well as knowledge of My Komatsu and CAT SIS applications is a plus.
•Having a basic understanding of maintenance budgeting processes is desirable.
•Knowledge in maintenance planning KPI’s, schedule compliance, component tracking, planned component replacement (PCR) and work order and backlog management a plus.
•The preferred candidate will have a thorough understanding of standard maintenance and operational procedures, utilizing best practice work management and be able to complete tasks within guidelines stipulated by Coeur safety and environmental policies.
•Ability to work collaboratively and use teamwork to solve problems.
•Must have the ability to present information in a manner that is clear, understandable and respectful.
•Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
•Skill in managing multiple priorities and tasks concurrently and meeting deadlines.
•Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
•Must be able to communicate effectively with the Mine Operations Group and Management on all maintenance issues.
•Willing and able to work a modified work schedule.
•High School Diploma or GED.
