Superintendent II, Mining Training( 3 positions )
Kamoa Copper Mine is a joint venture between Ivanhoe Mines (39.6%), Zijin Mining Group (39.6%), Crystal River Global Limited (0.8%) and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (20%). It's a very large, near-surface, flat-lying, stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, at approximately 25 kilometres west of the town of Kolwezi and about 270 kilometres west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi.

To develop, implement, manage and coordinate critical mining training programs in accordance with the training and transformation strategies and in support of operational skills requirements. The incumbent manages a team and ensures best practice delivery of training and evaluations underground at the working areas.
You will have the following:
- Mining Degree / Diploma
- Train the Trainer
- Coaching Training
- Mine Overseers Certificate of Competence
- Blasting certificate
- 8 Years mining experience in an Mechanized Mining & underground hard rock experience
- Must have at least 3 years as a Mine Overseer.
- 3 + years’ experience in Training and Development in underground mining environment
- Proficiency in business English is mandatory. Knowledge of French and Swahili will be considered highly advantageous.
Technical Skills should include:
- 5 Years Mining Training experience
- Mechanised Mining & underground hard rock experience
- Geology and Rock Strata experience/knowledge
- SHE standards and practices
- Training programme design and delivery
Role Specific Knowledge:
- Mining knowledge (mechanized & underground hard rock)

Your Key Performance Activities will include but not limited to:
- Assist in the development and coordination an evolving mine training strategy and plan during the expansion phase of mine production.
- Training Curricula, learning material and delivery- Develop, implement, manage and coordinate critical mining training programs
- Coordinate and oversee training scheduling and effectiveness, including Best Practice
- Coordinate and oversee Induction, General worker, Safety rep, Miner, Production supervisor, General Forman and Mine overseer’s training
- Oversee and Coordinate Surface mock-ups
- Coordinate and oversee Induction training and Safety rep training
- Enable and support external vendors / training providers to deliver
- Stakeholder management: Build relationships with stakeholders to enable optimization of the business value chain
- People- Coordinate, monitor and supervise the performance of direct reports
- Finance: Monitor costs or expenses within approved budget to achieve cost efficiencies and reduce waste
- Drive Transformation and enable seamless Change and Cultural integration- Support the Transformation agenda
- Manage Reporting and Governance for area of responsibility
- Deploy an integrated risk management, governance and compliance framework throughout area of responsibility
