The Kamoa Copper Mine is a joint venture between Ivanhoe Mines (39.6%), Zijin Mining Group (39.6%), Crystal River Global Limited (0.8%) and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (20%). It's a very large, near-surface, flat-lying, stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, at approximately 25 kilometers west of the town of Kolwezi and about 270 kilometers west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi.

To conduct, implement and coordinate critical mining training programmes in line with training and transformation strategies, supporting operational skills requirements. The incumbent places strong emphasis on delivering best-practice refresher training, actively reinforcing safe work procedures, compliance standards, and operational competence. The role includes carrying out workplace training and evaluations underground in working areas, ensuring that all refresher interventions meet industry’s best practices and continuously improve workforce performance and safety.
You will have the following:
- Blasting Certificate / Afridex certificate
- Forman Certificate / Production Supervisor Certificate
- Train the Trainer
- Assessor Certificate
- Coaching Certificate
- Training Diploma in Mining
- 5 years' relevant experience in Miner/Supervisor position essential
- 2 plus years’ experience in Training and Development in underground mining environment
- Proficiency in business English is mandatory. Knowledge of French and Swahili will be considered highly advantageous.

Your Key Performance Activities will include but not limited to:
- Supervise, train and execute underground mining training
- Supervise, train, and execute the underground Best Practice, Refreshers & Berst Practice training, Learning from Incidents training workplace related safety training.
- Evaluate compliance and if there are any gaps, Coach/Refresh:
- Supervise the learning, delivery, evaluations, and execution with regards to the underground Best Practice, / Refreshers training, Learning from Incidents and workplace related safety training
- Prevent and report on breakdowns, damages and wastage of material and resources
- Supervise the health and safety of subordinate staff in work area
- Evaluate compliance and if there are any gaps, Coach/Refresh:
- Conduct end of shift safety, compliance, and reporting procedures
- Evaluate compliance and if there are any gaps, Coach/Refresh:
