Superintendent II, Engineering (Electrical)
Kamoa Copper Mine is a joint venture between Ivanhoe Mines (39.6%), Zijin Mining Group (39.6%), Crystal River Global Limited (0.8%) and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (20%). It's a very large, near-surface, flat-lying, stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, at approximately 25 kilometres west of the town of Kolwezi and about 270 kilometres west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi.

To execute, control and develop all underground engineering operations on the Kakula mine. The incumbent supervises specialists and the scope/portfolio of this role includes the management and supply of water and power, and the maintenance of equipment for the purposes of mining operations and business continuity.
You will have the following:
- Relevant Diploma (N4-N5 equivalent) – Preferred
- Qualified Artisan.
- Supervisory trainin
- 5 years as a Foreman with relevant experience in mechanical-electrical engineering, pumping and conveyor systems, with exposure to a wide variety of scenarios and challenges
- Experience in the mining environment critical
- Proficiency in business English is mandatory. Knowledge of French and Swahili will be considered highly advantageous.
Technical Skills should include:
- Understanding of Water / Power / Pumping / Mechanical systems
- Ability to make relevant calculations
- Understanding of technical specifications
